After MANY years of searching and being called “crazy” and '"out of their minds” the Partridge Lab Australia Division have finally found what they have been trying to find for over 20 years! A non-poisonous species of spider! The spider’s unofficial name is Non aranea serpens flatu, Latin for Non-poisonous spider. People all over Australia flocked to the surrounding Darwin area to witness the law-defining event. The visitor population of Darwin is about 500,000 people, over 3x the resident population! “The lines in our store [Hungry Jack’s] have almost quadrupled!” Says the owner of a restaurant in Darwin. “And so have our profits!” He added. Unfortunately, some people think that the spider was made up, and it does sound like it, but the Non aranea serpens flatu, lives on.
